• Recommend to the Executive Committee candidates for membership and actively promote the accession of qualified new members among the PDN membership.
• Oversee/conduct New Member Orientation.
• Work to ensure that the activities of the organization are of interest to and involve as many members as possible. This includes but is not limited to the First Thursday social events.
• Advise concerning and oversee communications with members.
• Help to coordinate and stage PDN’s semi-annual meetings.
• Identify and bring to the attention of the Executive Committee members who have repeatedly failed to attend meetings or participate in projects of the organization.

Goals

2009 – 2010 goals In the coming year, through the 2010 Annual Meeting, this Committee will pursue the following goals:

• Through retention and recruitment attain membership of 340 by end of 2009 and 360 by 2010 Annual Meeting. (currently at 325)
• Actively encourage member involvement to the extent that 85% of all members attend programs and/or are actively involved with Initiatives and/or Task Forces in the coming year.
